I am writing to express my enthusiastic endorsement for Thomas Cooke as a candidate for Summit County Council. As our county grapples with the profound challenges stemming from rapid growth, Thomas’s experience and dedication to planning make him an excellent choice to serve on the council.

Having closely followed Thomas’s career and witnessed his contributions to our community first hand, I am confident in his ability to navigate the complex issues facing Summit County. His expertise in planning and eight years of service on the Snyderville Basin Planning Commission provides a critical foundation for addressing the myriad challenges associated with growth, ensuring that development is sustainable, equitable and responsive to the needs of all residents.

In a time when outside forces are influencing both developments and land use, his pragmatic approach, coupled with a deep understanding of the unique dynamics shaping our county, positions him as a valuable asset in shaping policies that will protect Summit County’s quality of life. 

In addition to his professional qualifications, Thomas’s integrity, compassion, and tireless work ethic embody the qualities we need in our public servants.
