The Solstice Moon Shine Social, hosted by Summit Land Conservancy and Mountain Trails Foundation, took place at the tail end of the longest day of the year at the intersection of Seventy 101 and Round Valley Express trails. The groups provided hot dogs and cold drinks as a reward to those who hiked and biked to the intersection.
“I thought it was an amazing way to get everyone together to really just celebrate why we live here and love the trails and open space,” said Caitlin Willard, vice president of communications for Summit Land Conservancy.
Willard said the celebration was for the solstice and full moon but also the “wonderful partnerships” between Summit Land Conservancy and Mountain Trails Foundation.
