Deer Valley to host first Mountain Pride Day

Deer Valley Resort will be hosting their first Mountain Pride Day Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The celebration will be held at Deer Valley’s Silver Lake lawn at midmountain. Guests can enjoy festivities, entertainment and community spirit at the event. Deer Valley wants to help foster support and togetherness for the LGBTQ+ community. 30% of all ticket sales Sunday will go toward Summit Pride, who work to sustain and amplify LGBTQ+ inclusivity in the Wasatch Back. 

2024 Oakley Rodeo kicks off next Wednesday



The 2024 Oakley Rodeo will be kicking off next Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. The rodeo will be held at Oakley’s rodeo grounds at 4300 UT-32. The rodeo runs through next Saturday, with action beginning at the same time everyday. It is a Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association event featuring buckin’ broncs, raring bulls and cowboys. Tickets have been sold out now for some time, but resold tickets can still be found for higher prices on third party websites like Vivid Seats

U.S Ski and Snowboard, X Games partner for Winter X Games Series



U.S. Ski and Snowboard and the X Games partnered Thursday for the new Winter X Games Series. The series will combine World Cup, U.S. Grand Prix and Visa Big Air events. The goal is to elevate snowboard and freeski competition. U.S. Grand Prix and Visa Big Air winners and runners-up have shots to advance to the series, along with athletes from the development-based Revolution Tour. U.S. Ski and Snow and the X Games will be working together on the forthcoming calendar, which will included added events like knuckle huck and street style. The organizations will also work together on branding, promotion and content.

Alta Community Enrichment to host yoga in the mountains Monday

Alta Community Enrichment (ACE) will be hosting yoga in the mountains Monday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The class will be held on the Alta Peruvian Lawn, weather permitting. The class is free and open to all guests. Attendees are instructed to bring their own yoga mats.
