Phil Lyman, GOP candidate for governor, plans Park City appearance Saturday

Republican Utah gubernatorial candidate Phil Lyman plans to join a parade at Richardson Flats Park & Ride at 11 a.m. for a couple tours up and down Park City’s Main Street. They’ll then return to Richardson Flats for a tailgate party at 1 p.m., when Lyman will also speak.

“Be sure to pack your lunch, bring a potluck to share, or setup a grill and a camp chair,” reads a press release from the campaign. “Come help Phil get over the finish line!”

The Phil Lyman for Governor Road Rally is planned and organized by the Utah Patriots. The Summit County Republican Party will participate in the festivities, according to Lyman’s campaign.

At the Utah State GOP Convention last month, Lyman received 67.5% of the vote to become the gubernatorial nominee. Lyman currently serves in 69th district (2023–present) of the Utah State House. Previously he represented the 73rd district and also served as a commissioner for San Juan County.
